1.) Some new skills I acquired through the web design assignment include being able to make a website, I personally have never made a website so the whole thing was new to me. I feel like I still have a lot to learn and improve on. Some design tools I used while making the website included, incorporating a CC which I have not actively down before but now I feel confident doing so. The next thing I added was incorporating my instagram through embedding the profile. Lastly I added a map through weebly, I have never done this before but now I understand how it works. I liked being able to use the website, however, I found the overall assignment confusing and difficult to complete. I do not think weebly was very easy to work with, I feel like on a different platform I might have more success. I do believe website will be useful in my career because it is an easy way to share important and up to date information with parents.  2.) I would use QR codes in my classroom by having one...

1.) My experience with blogging has been smooth and easy thus far. I have not had any trouble navigating the website and uploading my blog post. I think this is an easy and efficient way to write information and share it to others. One con I do have about the website is that sometimes I do forget to look at comments/do not know where to find them. Something that I have learned is to be more open and expressive with my writing, blog post from my experience is a form of journaling for people. This has allowed my to get more comfortable with writing that will be seen by people. 2.) An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I have discovered from this class is epic!. This website is a fun and interactive site students 8 and younger can access to read over 20k books of all levels and genres. This is an easy to use tool teachers can use to help their students get into reading and get better with reading comprehension. It has quizzes and dictionaries to test their skills and grow their vocabulary...

The standard I chose was for a 1st grade class, SC.1.CO.1.1 Recognize and operate different types of computer components. This standard focuses on the usage of technology in the classroom and how it can be incorporated in lessons to increase comprehension of the curriculum. I do feel prepared to implement this standard in the classroom because I understand how to use most devices that would be used in lessons. I am aware of basic tools like powerpoint, computers, etc. that would be in a classroom and the students would use. I feel technology is another important tool that should be used to help add more activities to keep students engaged and continuing to learn. The standard I chose to look at resources that could be incorporated into the classroom is ELA.K12.EE.2.1 which focuses on grade level reading comprehension. One lesson plan discussed was Safety on the Job, this lesson has students read from the teachers presentation, set up through a computer about store safety rules and...

I have never had an issue using MS word in the past, however, I prefer using Pages. In high school and college I have always had to use MS word, but I still used Pages because it is easier for me to navigate and I could just export it to a word document. Overall, if I have to use Word I would never be opposed to it and would still be able to navigate it almost as well as Pages. I prefer pages because since I got my computer it naturally had this software, so I just starting using and became more comfortable with it.  The ISTE Standards for Educators I chose was 2.7 Analyst, this standard says that teachers are responsible for ensuring that their students receive the correct in formation through technology to enhance their learning. A question I still have is what are some techniques teachers can do to ensure they support their students? An idea I have for this standard is to make sure that the way teachers deliver the data is easy to understand for the students. This was mean...
